08/17/2010 - Organizers are very pleased with the outcome of the very first Young Rider Day in New Liskeard and Kirkland Lake. Bus Buddies was formed in 2002 and has helped to ensure the safety of all children who ride the bus to and from schools in Timmins. The Young Rider program in Timmins will take place on August 28th from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at the McIntyre Curling Club.
08/10/2010 - It promises to be an exciting year! Staff at District School Board Ontario North East wish to extend a warm "welcome" to all new students, and a hearty "welcome back" to all those returning for the new school year. Classes will resume on Monday, August 30th.
07/23/2010 - Students at TH&VS have been busy constructing the new Ojibwa-Cree Cultural Activity Centre. The modern tepee structure, built entirely out of concrete and steel, is virtually indestructible to natural or man-made disasters. Click to view photos of construction
07/16/2010 - District School Board Ontario North East received a very special honour with the directors at Camp Bickell officially naming one of their dorms after the Board.
