THAT, the minutes of the Northern Region Accommodation Review Committee Meeting held on March 2, 2001 be approved.

THAT, negotiations be initiated with the French Catholic Board for their removal from Cochrane High School and to offer them the use and/or purchase of Commando Senior Public School and;
THAT, grades 6, 7 and 8 at Commando Senior Public School be moved to Cochrane High School for September 2002 and;
THAT, G.H. Ferguson Public School be rebuilt or renovated to accommodate JK-5 and a developmentally handicapped program for September 2002 and;
THAT, Commando Senior Public School be closed and/or sold and;
THAT, public consultation will also include a K-OAC concept to be included at the Cochrane High School.

THAT, the developmental students from Cochrane catchment area be moved to G.H. Ferguson Public School and the appropriate renovations be completed for September 2002.

THAT, the staff, parents and students of District School Board Ontario North East be polled to determine a consensus of the impact of removing students from the present high school facility.
THAT, if the consensus demands it, that the conceptual planning of Clayton Brown Public School be renovated to accommodate JK-OAC for September 2002 be initiated in consultation with the Ministry of Education, the French Separate Board of Education, staff, parents and community.

THAT, District School Board Ontario North East move the English Senior Kindergarten Program from Coronation Public School into Pinecrest, Schumacher and W.E. Miller Public Schools beginning in September 2001.

THAT, special attention be paid to the smooth transition of the students particularly in this initial year for the change in program location.

THAT, District School Board Ontario North East explores the opportunities to partner with other agencies which may wish to offer before and after school programs and preschool programs in schools where viable.

THAT, the Ontario Public School Boards' Association be notified that District School Board Ontario North East prefers local bargaining as opposed to any form of provincial bargaining.
