If students are interested in enrolling into an e-Learning Course, the following steps must be followed:

1. Download and print the Request for Registration into an e-Learning Course form
2. Complete the form and have it signed by your parent or guardian
3. Return the form to the Guidance Department to complete the registration process

Once the Guidance Department has your completed form, they will register you online and contact you should there be any questions. You will receive further instruction from your Guidance Counselor once registration has taken place.

• How do I contact my teacher?

  You may contact your teacher via email or by using the pager button. Some teachers may provide telephone contact information as well. Your teacher will post office hours and contact information in the Meet the Teacher section of your course.

• I cannot log into my course. Who do I contact?

  If you have difficulty logging on, please contact Tracy Gallagher by phone at (705) 338-2755, ext. 13 or by email at tracy.gallagher@dsb1.edu.on.ca.

• I received an error message. Who should I inform?

  Error messages may be problems related to the system, the course or with the computer you are using. Make a note of the exact error message and contact Tracy Gallagher by phone at (705) 338-2755, ext. 13 or by email at tracy.gallagher@dsb1.edu.on.ca. We'll help you sort out the problem.

• I found dead links. Who should I inform?

  Dead links should be reported to your teacher as soon as you find them.

• How do I read and send email?

  Click on the Email tab at the top of the page. Note that there are two additional tabs in your contact list: one for staff (which contains a link to your teacher's email) and one for students (which contains links to the emails of your fellow students).

• How do I access the drop box?
  • Click on the dropbox.
  • Click on the activity you are currently submitting.
  • Click on Browse to find your file.
  • Write a message if necessary.
  • Click Upload when you are ready to send your file.
• How do I send a page to my teacher or another student?
  • Click on the pager button on the top of the main page.
  • Click a name from the drop down list
  • Write your message and click Send.
    The page will take a few minutes to transmit the message.
• How do I know when I have received a page?

  The pager button will light up and you'll hear a beeping sound (assuming you have your volume turned on) when someone is trying to page you.

• How do I suggest additions to these FAQs?

• How do I make suggestions for the List of Course Offerings?
