External Posting of Vacancies - Elementary and Secondary Permanent Teachers and Long Term Occasional Teachers
Teachers who wish to apply for permanent, long-term occasional teaching positions must now apply through Apply to Education (formerly Apply to Teach) at www.applytoeducation.com. Effective immediately we will no longer be accepting paper applications received by mail or fax, unless specified in the posting competition listed above.
In order to be considered for an interview, please ensure that the documents listed below are included in your on-line portfolio:
- Covering Letter
- Resume
- Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Registration and Certificate (or Interim Certificate) of Qualification (recent Faculty of Education graduates may provide upon receipt of Certificates).
- Practicum Reports or Teacher Evaluation
- Reference Letters
Please Note: External postings of available permanent and external long term occasional teaching positions will be posted at the Apply to Education website. Interested applicants must apply to each individual posted position through Apply to Education. Your resume is not automatically forwarded for posted positions. You are encouraged to sign up for the Job Alert feature on Apply to Education to be notified via email when a job has been posted by District School Board Ontario North East.
Supply Teaching Opportunities
District School Board Ontario North East is interested in receiving applications for the position of Supply Teacher. If you are interested, please submit the following information to the Superintendent of Human Resources:
- Letter of application and resume
- Ontario College of Teachers Certification of Qualifications
- Unqualified applicants must specify their academic qualifications
(all applicants must have a minimum of a university degree or college diploma and show some evidence of experience relating to working in an educational setting.)
Please note: Interviews are scheduled in October and February depending on the Board's need for new supply teachers. Not all applicants will be invited to interview for a position. Due to the large number of applications received the Board will not acknowledge receipt of individual applications. Only candidates who will be invited to interview for a position will be contacted.
