IFSS Volleyball Action from October10/28/2009 - There was a lot of action in the gyms on Wednesday, October 28, 2009 as IFSS hosted the first NEOAA Qualifier for both Junior and Senior Boys Volleyball. Both of our teams did very well overall! |
IFSS Academic Awards Assembly10/19/2009 - IFSS held its annual Academic Awards assembly for the 2008-2009 year. Students were recognized for various academic achievements, including having over 80% in one or more of their courses. A special thank you goes out to our special guest, Major McCarthy from the Royal Canadian Legion, who presented the awards for the highest academic averages. |
IFSS Magic Cloak Theatre Takes to the Road09/28/2009 - IFSS students delighted young pupils on September 28th and 29th with Magic Cloak Theatre, a Children's Theatre performance of interactive stories and songs. The show was performed at Iroquois Falls Public School for IFPS and St. Anne's students, and again at Joseph H. Kennedy PS for students in Matheson. |
Students Honoured with 'Excellence in Education' Awards06/26/2009 - The OSSTF Iroquois Falls Branch handed out its 'Excellence in Education' awards to graduating students. The 2008-2009 recipients included Velvet Wilkins, Alex Monahan, Jodi Lariviere, Erika Lindgren, Erica Ogden, Jesse Alford and Ben Duguay. |
Girls' Volleyball Team Wins NEOAA Championship02/24/2009 - Congratulations to our Senior Girls' Volleyball team who captured the NEOAA championship on Tuesday, February 24th. The last time our school won the NEOAA Senior Girls' Championship was in 1979. Way to go girls! The team participated in the OFSAA Championship in Port Hope, Ontario on March 10th and 11th. |
